GameMaker RPG Project Starter

Ryu's RPG starter project for GameMaker. You can load this project up in your GameMaker Studio 2 IDE, and immediately start making a game!
This project includes:

• A simple to read master data object to store game state stuff.
• A free-use starter character sprite
• My own unique dialogue/cutscene system with
  • Pre-configured GUI and msgbox size
  • Ability to display the name of a speaking NPC
  • Scripted multiple choice menus
  • a way to store and interact with game data (for when you want to save and load data for your players later!)
  • a way to draw any sprite at any location during a script dialogue
  • built in scripted NPC movements with a simple to understand system
• a starter room with various example uses of the dialogue system
• player movement with WASD/arrows
• primitive collision system

This project is designed to be an easy to use starting point for an RPG with lots of dialogue. There is no battle system included, so you can make it turn based, action rpg, platformer... whatever you want. There's too much detail to squeeze into this page, so it is HIGHLY recommended you come to the Enhanced Projects discord server to learn more about what this project is and how to use it. This starter project is designed primarily for intermediate level developers who are at least somewhat familiar with gamemaker and how it works. You can, of course, use it to learn gamemaker if you like, but there are better guides out there for this!
